Summary of thesis results: From ancient times to the present day, the family has always been considered a warm home, where each person can find their own joy and happiness. For children, the family is the best cradle, where they are protected, cared for, educated, and grow up in the love of their parents. However, in today's civilized era, gender-based violence in the family is a fairly common phenomenon, occurring at all ages and in all social classes. It is noteworthy that some acts of violence are considered normal by the victims and society. Research shows that the causes of violence are diverse, including subjective factors such as the victim's resignation, and objective factors such as economic conditions, customs, socio-cultural factors, gender inequality, indifference of the public and local authorities, and social vices. Gender-based violence can be said to destroy family harmony, erode faith in life and happiness, and its negative impact can harm, even distort, a person's personality, especially that of children. Studies show that children living in families where violence occurs are at a higher risk of malnutrition and physical and mental abuse than children living in non-violent families. Gender-based violence in the family also profoundly affects the formation and development of a child's personality. Children living in a family environment where violence frequently occurs often experience sadness, depression, feelings of inferiority, self-doubt, shyness, and timidity. The academic performance of most children in these families is poor and declining. The dropout rate in families experiencing domestic violence is also higher than in normal families. Gender-based domestic violence also causes children to fall into particularly difficult circumstances such as homelessness, orphanhood, and delinquency. Thus, gender-based domestic violence leaves many serious consequences for society, families, and children. Therefore, eliminating gender-based domestic violence to limit its negative impact on the protection, care, and education of children is not the responsibility of any one individual but requires the coordination of all levels, sectors, socio-political organizations, and the community in preventing and combating domestic violence. Based on the research results, the thesis has made several recommendations to prevent gender-based domestic violence and its negative impacts on the protection, care, and education of children today.
