Summary of the thesis results: From ancient times to the present, the family has always been considered a warm home, where each person can find their own joy and happiness. For children, the family is the most wonderful cradle, where they are protected, cared for, educated and raised in the love of their parents. However, in today's civilized era, gender-based violence in the family is a fairly common phenomenon, occurring in all ages and all classes of people. It is worth noting that there are some acts of violence that are considered normal by victims and society. Research shows that the causes of violence are very diverse, including subjective factors such as the victim's resignation and objective factors such as economy, customs, social culture, gender inequality, indifference of the people and local authorities, social evils, etc. It can be said that gender-based violence is the cause of destroying family warmth, losing faith in life and happiness of each person, its negative effects can hurt, even distort the personality of people, especially children. Research shows that children living in families where violence occurs are at higher risk of malnutrition, physical and mental abuse than children living in families without violence. Gender-based violence in the family also deeply affects the formation and development of children's personality. Children living in a family environment where violence often occurs often feel sad, depressed, guilty, self-conscious, shy, and timid. The academic performance of most children in these families is poor and declining. The rate of children dropping out of school in violent families is also higher than in normal families. Gender-based violence in the family is also the cause of children falling into difficult circumstances, especially street children, orphans, criminals, etc. Thus, gender-based violence in the family leaves many serious consequences for society, families, and children. Therefore, eliminating gender-based violence in the family to limit its negative effects on the protection, care, and education of children is not the responsibility of any individual but requires the coordination of all levels, sectors, socio-political organizations, and the community in preventing and combating domestic violence. Based on the research results, the thesis has made a number of recommendations to prevent gender-based violence in the family and its negative effects on the protection, care, and education of children today.
