The thesis consists of 3 chapters with the following basic contents:
Chapter 1. Identifying Phong Hoa Newspaper
In this chapter, the author explores and clarifies several concepts related to journalism and culture. Simultaneously, the author examines the historical context of society; the origin, development, and structure of the Phong Hoa newspaper. Finally, a summary is provided to offer the most comprehensive overview of the newspaper.
Chapter 2. Understanding the Journalism Team
In this chapter, the author synthesizes and analyzes the characteristics of the Phong Hoa newspaper's editorial staff based on a survey of 100 authors who contributed articles to 190 issues. Additionally, the chapter explores the origins, principles, and main activities of the leading literary group, the Tu Luc Van Doan, along with information about prominent authors featured in Phong Hoa.
Chapter 3: The Issue of Cultural Innovation in Phong Hoa Newspaper
Based on the theoretical and practical research conducted, the author discusses the issue of cultural innovation in the Phong Hoa newspaper with three main points: promoting innovation in literature; promoting innovation in art; and encouraging a Westernized lifestyle. From these analyses and arguments, an assessment is made of the values that Phong Hoa left for Vietnamese culture and society in the early 20th century. Subsequently, the author connects this to the present day to emphasize the cultural values that Phong Hoa has left behind to this day.
11. Practical applications:
The research findings of this thesis will provide researchers with a new perspective on the Phong Hoa newspaper. This can then serve as reference material in their research and teaching.
12. Future research directions:
Based on the results of this study, further research can be conducted on the cultural transformation and social innovation that occurred in the press in the early 20th century in our country.

This thesis includes three chapters:
Chapter 1: Phong Hoa Identification
This chapter contains the study and clarification on some concepts of journalism and cultures. Social historical background, establishment, development and structure of Phong Hoa are also mentioned before the general overview of this newspaper is given.
Chapter 2: Journal staff
In this chapter, the characteristics of Phong Hoa's staff are collected and analyzed, based on the survey findings over 100 authors from 190 issued editions. Moreover, the establishment, principles and major activities of the Self-Reliant Literary Group are described. This is followed by the information of Phong Hoa's representative authors.
Chapter 3: Cultural renovation on Phong Hoa
From the studied theoretical and practical basis, cultural renovation on Phong Hoa is discussed with three main aspects, including actuating literary renovation, stimulating art innovation and encouraging Europeanized life style. Based on analysis and demonstrations, the evaluation on the Phong Hoa's cultural and social values in the early 20th century in Vietnam is shown. Afterwards, contemporary relations are carried out to emphasize Phong Hoa's cultural values, which still remain to present.
11. Practical applicability, if any: These thesis findings can offer the researchers a whole new view towards Phong Hoa; Therefore, they can be used for research and teaching purposes.
12. Further research directions, if any: These findings can lead to the implementation of further studies on Vietnam's journal acculturation and social renovation in the early 20thDANCE.
