- The thesis builds the concept of intellectuals according to Ho Chi Minh's thought; analyzes and clarifies the main contents of Ho Chi Minh's thought on the role of intellectuals and promoting the role of intellectuals in the process of socio-economic development. According to President Ho Chi Minh, intellectuals are understanding. Intellectuals are closely linked to knowledge, the most important quality of an intellectual is understanding, that is, having knowledge.

- The thesis analyzes the current situation of applying Ho Chi Minh's thought on the role of intellectuals to promote the role of intellectuals in Bac Giang province. At the same time, the thesis has pointed out the factors affecting the promotion of the role of intellectuals in Bac Giang province in the current period.

- Based on theoretical research and the above-mentioned reality, the thesis proposes solutions to continue promoting the role of intellectuals following Ho Chi Minh's ideology in building and developing Bac Giang province in the current period.
