10. Summary of the thesis results:

This thesis clarifies the current livelihood situation of the people in Da Loc commune and the extreme impacts of climate change on their livelihoods. The research process showed that the vast majority of people here are well aware of the changes and manifestations of climate change. In particular, people clearly recognize the extreme impacts of climate change on their family's livelihoods, with agriculture, livestock farming, and fishing/aquaculture being the most affected. Meanwhile, these are the main livelihood activities that help the people here survive and develop.

Due to the extreme impacts of climate change, the traditional livelihoods of the local people are no longer suitable and have not brought much socio-economic benefit to them. This is also the most urgent reason urging people to change their family's livelihoods to adapt to the impacts of climate change. Research results show that people want to change their livelihood activities in the fields of crop farming and livestock raising, with 34% of people wanting to develop a closed-loop livestock farming model.

The thesis also pointed out the adaptation measures to climate change impacts taken by local authorities and residents. However, these measures lacked coordination and widespread public participation. They were mostly spontaneous and individualized, resulting in outcomes that did not fully meet the expectations and desires of the people.

Based on the needs and urgency of the local people, as well as the aspirations of the local authorities, to adapt to the impacts of climate change, we have developed a "closed-loop farming model" (GTP) for the people. The model outlines the advantages, methods, and implementation strategies, along with a very specific and detailed plan that is highly feasible and can be immediately applied by the people.

Furthermore, the thesis also offers recommendations with general and key solution groups in three areas: crop cultivation, livestock farming, and fishing and aquaculture, to help local authorities and people adapt to the extreme impacts of climate change.

11. Practical applications:

The topic is practical research activities; therefore, the results in this thesis serve as a reference document to help experts and researchers continue to develop appropriate intervention models. In particular, the author has also developed a specific, highly feasible intervention model that can be applied and implemented for the people in the future. This is also one of the measures to change livelihoods to adapt to the impacts of climate change, contributing to sustainable socio-economic development in the locality.
