10. Summary of the thesis results:
This thesis focuses on analyzing the economic transformation process of Tuyen Quang province during the period of 2011.But2024 from a historical economic perspective, thereby clarifying the characteristics, dynamics, and trends of the local economy in the context of innovation and integration.
Research results show that Tuyen Quang's economy maintains a relatively stable growth rate, and the size of the economy and per capita income are gradually improving. The economic structure is shifting towards a gradual decrease in the proportion of agriculture.Butforestry, gradually increasing the proportion of industry.ButConstruction and services reflect the trend of shifting from a traditional agricultural economy to a market economy and gradual modernization.
Within the economic sectors, shifts have emerged towards market-oriented commodity production; production organization methods are gradually moving from decentralized to integrated; and the economic space is expanding and adjusting towards strengthening regional linkages. Economic infrastructureButSociety receives investment for improvement, contributing to increased production capacity and promoting the circulation of goods.
In addition, endogenous factors such as the participation of businesses, cooperatives, and individual producers are playing an increasingly important role in promoting economic transformation; distinctive local products are gradually being formed and developed in a commercial direction.
However, the economic transformation process still faces some limitations, such as a slow pace of structural change, a small economic scale, and low quality of growth; the agricultural sector still accounts for a large proportion; industry and services have not yet truly become the main driving forces; and infrastructure, human resources, and the level of scientific application are still lacking.ButTechnology is still limited.
11. Theoretical and practical contributions
Theoretically, this thesis contributes to systematizing and clarifying the economic transformation process of a mountainous province from an economic history perspective, thereby supplementing scientific understanding of the characteristics, dynamics, and trends of economic development in the midland and mountainous regions of Northern Vietnam. At the same time, the thesis provides a holistic research approach, overcoming the limitations of previous works which mainly focused on individual fields.
In practical terms, the research findings of this thesis serve as an important reference for policy planning and economic development orientation in Tuyen Quang in the coming period. Based on this, the thesis suggests several directions such as: continuing to promote economic restructuring towards modernization; improving the quality of growth; developing infrastructure comprehensively; strengthening the application of science and technology; and leveraging endogenous factors and local advantages to promote rapid and sustainable development.
12. Future research directions:
Based on the research results on the economic transformation process of Tuyen Quang in the period of 2011.ButIn 2024, the research scope may be further expanded to provinces in the northern midland and mountainous regions, aiming to compare, contrast, and clarify the similarities and differences in the economic transformation process between localities with similar natural and economic conditions.Buthomologous societies.
Furthermore, further research is needed on the period after 2024, especially in the context of the growth model transformation, the acceleration of digital transformation, and the development of a green and circular economy. A deeper analysis of the impact of new factors such as international economic integration, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and climate change on Tuyen Quang's economic transformation will contribute to a clearer understanding of future development trends.
Furthermore, in-depth research can be conducted in specific areas such as structural transformation of industries, development of commodity-based agricultural economy, processing industry, tourism services, and cooperative economy. At the same time, attention should be paid to studying the role of endogenous factors such as human resources and science.ButTechnology, institutions, and local governance capacity in promoting sustainable economic development.
In policy planning and development practice, further research could aim to propose an economic development model suitable to local characteristics, linked to the efficient exploitation of resource potential, environmental protection, and promotion of cultural identity, thereby contributing to improving the quality of growth and ensuring sustainable development for Tuyen Quang in the new period.

10. Summary of the findings of the project:
The thesis focuses on analyzing the process of economic transformation in Tuyen Quang Province during the period from 2011 to 2024 from the perspective of economic history, thus clarifying the characteristics, driving forces, and development trends of the local economy in the context of renovation and international integration.
The research findings indicate that the economy of Tuyen Quang Province maintains a relatively stable growth rate, while the scale of the economy and per capita income gradually improved. The economic structure shifts toward a gradual reduction in the proportion of agriculture and forestry, alongside an increasing share of industry, construction, and services, reflecting the transition from a traditional agricultural economy to a commodity-oriented economy and a gradual process of modernization.
Within the economic sectors, significant changes emerged in the direction of commodity production associated with market demands; production organization methods gradually shift fragmentation from to linkage and cooperation; and the economic space expanded and adjusted toward strengthening regional connectivity. Socio-economic infrastructure was increasingly improved through investment, contributing to enhanced production capacity and the promotion of goods circulation.
In addition, endogenous factors such as the growing participation of enterprises, cooperatives, and household producers played an increasingly important role in promoting economic transformation, while distinctive local products were gradually formed and developed toward commodity production.
However, the process of economic transformation still faces several limitations, including the slow pace of structural change, the small scale of the economy, and the relatively low quality of growth. The agricultural sector continues to account for a large proportion of the economy, while industry and services have not yet become the primary driving forces. Furthermore, infrastructure, human resources, and the application of science and technology remain limited.
11. Practical applicability:
From a theoretical perspective, the thesis contributes to systematizing and clarifying the process of economic transformation in a mountainous province from the perspective of economic history, thereby enriching scholarly understanding of the characteristics, driving forces, and development trends of the economy in the Northern Midlands and Mountainous region of Vietnam. At the same time, the thesis provides a comprehensive research approach that overcomes the limitations of previous studies, which mainly focuses on individual sectors separately.
From a practical perspective, the research findings of the thesis serve as an important reference basis for policy formulation and economic development orientation in Tuyen Quang Province in the coming period. On that basis, the thesis suggests several orientations, including: continuing to promote economic restructuring toward modernization; improve the quality of growth; developing infrastructure in a synchronized manner; strengthen the application of science and technology; and promoting endogenous factors and local advantages in order to foster rapid and sustainable development.
12.Further research directions:
Based on the research findings on the process of economic transformation in Tuyen Quang Province during the period 2011–2024, future studies may further expand the scope of research to other provinces in the Northern Midlands and Mountainous region of Vietnam in order to compare and clarify the similarities and differences in the process of economic transformation among localities with similar natural, economic, and social conditions.
In addition, further research should focus on the period after 2024, particularly in the context of transforming growth models, accelerating digital transformation, and developing green and circular economies. A deeper analysis of the impacts of new factors such as international economic integration, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and climate change on the economic transformation of Tuyen Quang Province will contribute to a clearer understanding of future development trends.
Moreover, specialized studies may be conducted in specific fields such as economic restructuring, the development of commodity-oriented agricultural economies, processing industries, tourism services, and cooperative economies. At the same time, greater attention should be paid to examine the role of endogenous factors, including human resources, science and technology, institutions, and local governance capacity, in promoting sustainable economic development.
In terms of policy formulation and development practice, future studies may focus on suggesting economic development models suited to local characteristics, associated with the effective exploitation of resource potential, environmental protection, and the promotion of cultural identity, thereby contributing to improving the quality of growth and ensuring sustainable development for Tuyen Quang Province in the new development stage.
