11. Summary of the thesis results:
With the goal of becoming an industrialized nation by 2020, vocational training plays a central role in achieving that goal, especially the development of highly skilled technical workers.
Vinh Phuc is considered one of the provinces with a rapid rate of urbanization. Consequently, agricultural land is gradually shrinking due to land clearance for industrial zones, entertainment and service areas, and most recently, the Noi Bai-Lao Cai expressway project. A new direction for localities undergoing urbanization is to shift the occupational structure from agriculture to other sectors. However, to develop the local economy and society in this direction, the demand for human resources remains central – requiring workers to participate in vocational training.
Kim Long is one of the communes with the largest area of agricultural land reclaimed in Tam Duong district. Therefore, the commune government has paid close attention to vocational training – especially vocational training for young people of working age.
In researching the issue of vocational training for young people of working age, this thesis has revealed the following results:
Firstly, the thesis has examined the vocational training policies and programs for young people currently being implemented in the area. Initial findings show that the implementation of these policies and programs has achieved certain results, contributing to the improvement of the local socio-economic life.
Secondly, the author focuses on analyzing factors affecting vocational training, such as age, education level, access to policies, and how urbanization directly impacts vocational training among young people. This analysis aims to understand the actual needs of the target group in choosing vocational courses.
Thirdly: Based on the current policies being implemented and the factors affecting vocational training in Kim Long commune, the author of this thesis has assessed some of the roles of social workers in supporting young people to participate in vocational training.
12. Practical Applicability: This thesis reflects the situation of vocational training in the research area. This will be one of the data points for evaluating the effectiveness of vocational training programs and policies currently being implemented in Kim Long commune. The research results will serve as a basis for policymakers to supplement and adjust policies related to labor, employment, and career guidance and vocational training. More importantly, the assessments of the role of social workers in youth vocational training will help local authorities develop training programs for social workers to meet the practical demands of the job.

Vinh Phuc is considered as one of the provinces with the extremely rapid process of urbanization. Consequently, the area of farmland has decreased gradually due to clearance of land devoted to industrial parks, recreational services, and Noi Bai – Lao Cao highway project recently. A new approach to the local urbanization process is restructuring occupations from agriculture to other sectors. In order to push the process of the local'ssocio-economic development in terms of restructuring, however, the requirement of human resources is undoubtedldy at the heart of the problem, which calls for employees to be involved in vocational training.
Kim Long is a commune of the province whose agricultural land has been withdrawn the most in Tam Duong district. Therefore, authorities were very concerned about the issue of vocational training especially for young people in working age.
In terms of research on this issue, the thesis has highlighted some of the following results:
Firstly: This thesis explores the policies and programs of vocational training for the youth deploying in the area. Initially, the implementing policies and vocational training programs have achieved some remarkable contributions to improve the socio-economic life of the province.
Secondly: The author focuses on analyzing factors affecting vocational learners such as age, education, policy access and urbanization issue in order to show the status of vocational education for youth, thereby, figuring out the actual needs of the learner in the selection of vocational courses.
Third: Since the status of policies being implemented and the factors affecting subjects of Kim Long, author of the thesis has evaluated a number of roles of social workers in supporting subjects participating youth apprenticeship.
11. Practical abilities:The thesis reflects the status of vocational training in the researched area, which is one of the data to assess the effectiveness of programs and vocational training policies implemented on Kim Long commune. Results of the study will be one of the basis for the policy research activities complement and adjust policies related to the issue of the employment and career-oriented vocational training. More importantly, according to the evaluation of the social workers' role in the issues of youth apprenticeship, the authorities will initiate the orientation for social workers to meet the practical requirements of the jobs and opptunities.
