In conducting this research, we aim for the following objectives:

- First, let's understand the current state of social media usage among young people.

- Secondly, to research, analyze, and evaluate the impact of social media on young people in terms of their lifestyles, the collection, reception, connection, sharing, and dissemination of information, as well as their views on social media and traditional journalism.

- Thirdly, it identifies the challenges facing traditional journalism in the face of the development of social media and offers some directions for the development of traditional journalism in the context of social media's strong impact on young audiences.

Having achieved the aforementioned goals, the topic also makes certain contributions, namely recognizing the impact of social media on Vietnamese youth, and offering some opinions and suggestions for traditional journalism in the context of the explosive growth of social media with a young audience. Furthermore, the limitations of the topic, I believe, may also be of interest to those who share this concern.
