(Summarize the results of the thesis, emphasizing any new findings.)
- Firstly, this master's thesis systematized discourse theory and Foucault's discourse analysis method - which are widely used in Literature, Linguistics, and Anthropology - and proposed how to apply them to the study of Journalism and Mass Communication.
- Next, the thesis identifies three discourses about students from specialized high schools published in Vietnamese online newspapers (Tuổi Trẻ, Vnexpress, Dân Trí, Hoa Học Trò) from 2019-2021.
- Finally, the thesis analyzes the materials and methods used to construct discourse about students from specialized schools on online newspapers during the survey period, thereby offering suggestions on new journalistic reporting methods for this topic, as well as some policy inferences.
- The above results were obtained by simultaneously using two research methods: Foucault discourse analysis and urban anthropological fieldwork.
11. Practical applications: (if any) Suggest ways to present news from the perspective of students and vulnerable groups, thereby avoiding the portrayal of social groups in the press and media with stereotypical, simplified representations of real life.
12. Further research directions: (if any) Analyzing the discourse on students from specialized schools in Vietnamese newspapers from the beginning of the 20th century to the present.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
- First, the thesis provides a systematic approach to the discourse theory, which being used mostly in the fields of Literature, Linguistics, and Anthropology, from the perspective of journalism, communication, and media studies.
- Second, from journalistic text collected from 2019-2021 on Vietnamese digital newspapers (Tuoi Tre, Vnexpress, Dan Tri, Hoa Hoc Tro), I synthesize media messages about gifted students to three popular media discourses.
- Third, I analyze the means and the method of discourse on Vietnamese newspapers; thus, I provide a new method of producing news about gifted students without causing harm to them, as well as giving some policy speculations.
- All of these research results are achievable thanks to the use of two research methods: (1) Foucauldian discourse analysis; (2) Urban ethnography...................................................
