10. Summary of the thesis results:
Analyzing the theoretical issues and general overview of the research area, the thesis shows that: Buddhism entered Vietnam very early. From the very beginning, Buddhism was accepted by the Vietnamese people. The first Vietnamese Buddhists learned from Indian monks simple religious practices such as worshipping Buddha, bowing to Buddha, chanting scriptures, etc. During the Ly and Tran dynasties, with the "support" policies of Buddhism, Vietnamese Buddhism flourished, and the number and quality of Vietnamese Buddhists increased rapidly. With the tradition of "protecting the nation and ensuring the people's well-being," accompanying the nation, Vietnamese Buddhists have made practical contributions to the nation-building and national defense in every period. Vietnamese Buddhists have built their own traditions and identity: Vietnamese Buddhists formed early, are relatively numerous, and diverse in composition; Vietnamese Buddhists diligently practice rituals and maintain relatively regular religious activities; Vietnamese Buddhists share a belief system that harmonizes Buddhism with indigenous beliefs; they are all patriotic, united, and deeply connected to the nation, fulfilling their roles, duties, and responsibilities as citizens and making significant contributions to history.
Tay Ho is an inner-city district of Hanoi with significant potential for economic and social development. Its rich historical and cultural traditions provide a foundation for sustainable development in the new context. The spiritual and cultural life of the people here is rich and diverse, with a wide range of beliefs and religions, among which Buddhism is the dominant religion. The Tay Ho area boasts many ancient temples with long histories closely linked to the development of Vietnamese Buddhism, and Buddhist activities have become a beautiful tradition in the lives of the people. Therefore, the Tay Ho district has a large Buddhist following, engaging in many practical activities and making significant contributions to building a more prosperous and civilized Tay Ho district.
From both theoretical and practical perspectives, this thesis analyzes and points out that Buddhist followers in Tay Ho District have made significant contributions to the district's development over the past period. The thesis analyzes these contributions from two aspects, categorized by group: Buddhist monks and lay followers. The analysis shows that Buddhist followers in Tay Ho District have largely fulfilled their duties in both aspects: as Vietnamese citizens who dedicate themselves to their homeland and country, and as lifelong religious followers who bring their faith into life to ensure its continued existence. Although this distinction is only relative, it demonstrates the concrete contributions of each Buddhist follower in the cause of "serving sentient beings is offering to the Buddhas," fulfilling the motto of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha: "Buddhism – Nation – Socialism." In the future development of Tay Ho district, the district government always identifies the following as key areas for development: leveraging all resources for growth, and recognizing that the resources of religious followers in general, and Buddhism in particular, are unique and require appropriate policies and attention to effectively promote their role and contributions.
11. Practical applications:
The research findings, when applied in practice, contribute to promoting the role of Buddhist followers in the national unity movement for the construction and development of Tay Ho district.

- Indigenous religions and beliefs
