This thesis examines the foundations of China's policy planning for the Mekong Subregion and the process of China's policy implementation in the Mekong Subregion across economic, political, cultural, defense, and security sectors. From this, it assesses the positive and negative impacts and recommends to the Party, State, ministries, and localities policies that promote the positive aspects and mitigate the negative impacts of China's policies on the Mekong Subregion, thereby firmly safeguarding the independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and promoting national economic development.
