10. Summary of thesis results:
The thesis with the topic: "Solutions for developing Ha Giang tourism based on the theory of the life cycle of tourist destinations" is a research work on the theory of the life cycle of tourist destinations in a complete way in terms of content. It can be considered as one of the reference documents providing theories on the theory of the life cycle of tourist destinations, which is to study the development stages of the life cycle of tourist destinations, characteristics and factors to identify the stages in the cycle, at the same time discovering the problems of each stage from which to propose corresponding strategies. Through the research, the following conclusions can be drawn:
Ha Giang's natural and human tourism resources are quite rich and attractive to tourists. Based on the characteristics of the stage according to the life cycle theory of the destination and the analysis of factors to identify the shift, it is determined that Ha Giang tourism is in the penetration stage. At this stage, there are shortcomings and limitations in tourism development: tourism infrastructure is both invested in construction and exploited, the investment progress is slow and scattered; tourism products are poor and monotonous; souvenir products are not rich and attractive to attract visitors; the capacity of state management staff on tourism is limited, not yet trained in depth and methodically, foreign language proficiency is limited; propaganda work to raise tourism awareness for people is still limited because the population is mainly ethnic minorities. Tourism promotion and promotion work is small-scale, narrow in scope, mainly promoting domestically, not reaching the international market. In order for Ha Giang tourism to develop further and reach a sustainable development stage, it is necessary to have a suitable strategy and solution: attracting investment, diversifying products, building unique tourism products, improving product quality, developing facilities, tourism technical infrastructure, having appropriate marketing policies, developing tourism human resource training, and finally making recommendations to tourism development entities.
11. Practical applicability: (if any) can be used for research by tourism students and Ha Giang destinations.
12. Further research directions: (if any) Research can continue to study the periods (early, middle, late) in a tourism development stage of the destination life cycle and in addition to the factors that identify the shift, the research will use tourism products and quantifiable data to determine the life cycle stage of the destination.
