In conducting this research, we aim for the following objectives:
- Firstly, while researching the poetic quality in war novels of the đổi mới (renovation) period, we want to highlight the atmosphere of the historical era that has passed: both heroic and brutal, yet profoundly romantic.
Secondly, we want to identify and clarify the content and form of poetic expression in three novels written about war, in specific aspects.
- Thirdly, we want to demonstrate that poetic expression is a distinctive artistic innovation in the poetics of Vietnamese novels after the Doi Moi (Renovation) period.
