10. Summary of the thesis results:

Risky sexual behaviors among students are unsafe, risky actions that can lead to undesirable consequences such as unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections, etc.

Although, overall, students generally engage in low-risk sexual behavior, rarely at all, some behaviors score alarmingly high, such as having multiple sexual partners, unprotected sex, and using unsafe contraception. This is extremely dangerous as it leads to a high risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies, significantly impacting the health, mental well-being, and future of students.

Male students have a higher rate of engaging in unsafe sexual behaviors than female students. Fourth-year students have a higher rate of engaging in risky sexual behaviors than second-year students. Students who are gay have a higher rate of engaging in risky sexual behaviors than other sexual orientations. Students who are married or cohabiting have a higher rate of sexual activity than students in other dating statuses. Students who follow a particular religion have a lower rate of unsafe sexual behavior than students who do not follow a religion. Students majoring in the arts have the highest rate of engaging in risky sexual behaviors, followed by students majoring in natural sciences, and finally, students majoring in social sciences have the lowest rate. Students renting accommodation have a higher rate of unsafe sexual behavior than students living with relatives/family. Students with extroverted personality types have a higher rate of sexual behavior than introverted students. Students who are exposed to pornography have higher rates of sexual behavior than students who are not exposed to pornography.

Risky sexual behavior among students is influenced by factors such as family bonding, living environment, views on love and sex, awareness of risky behaviors, and personal lifestyle. Specifically, higher family bonding tends to reduce risky sexual behaviors. Conversely, a negative living environment and personal lifestyle, lower awareness, and more liberal views on love and sex tend to increase risky sexual behaviors among students.

11. Practical applications:

Based on the results obtained from theoretical and practical research, this thesis provides an overview of the issue of risky sexual behavior among students, as well as the factors influencing these behaviors. This shows that raising students' awareness of safe sex is crucial. Furthermore, interventions from families, schools, and social organizations also play a significant role: families need to strengthen their bond with their children; schools need to focus on life skills training programs; and social organizations need effective communication strategies or community programs to help reduce risky sexual behavior and build a healthy future generation, both physically and mentally.
