Research topic"Use short reports in news programs on local television stations"The purpose of this study is to study and evaluate the use of short reports in the news programs of local television stations. The shortcomings in the news programs of local television stations, from which the author proposes solutions to overcome the shortcomings and limitations in the use of short reports to contribute to improving the quality of current local television programs.

The thesis conducts a survey, investigation, analysis, and evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of socialized programs of Bac Giang and Quang Ngai Radio and Television stations and some neighboring TV stations of Bac Giang Station from June 2017 to December 2018.

The thesis clarifies the role of short reports in each news program of local television stations. From the way of choosing topics, the way of expressing, the way of reading, the way of hosting the program, the way of leading the scene, using the sound of the scene as well as the arrangement of short reports in the overall program to achieve the highest efficiency, attractiveness, attracting the audience to the news program of local radio and television stations.

The methods used in the thesis include: document research method; empirical research method; statistical, analytical, demonstrative, and evaluation methods; fieldwork and collaborative methods; sociological investigation methods: in-depth interview method, sociological investigation method.

The topic is a scientific basis to help managers, editors and reporters have an overview and see the important role in using short reports in each news program to have directions to improve the quality of production as well as to improve the quality of news of local radio and television stations. This is also a theoretical basis for subsequent research projects from a newer perspective.

Through the implementation of the topic, it can be affirmed that:Use short reports in news programs on local television stationsis an inevitable objective trend in the development process of television stations. However, to effectively produce short reports as well as use short reports in each news program of local television stations, it is necessary to synchronously solve many stages, in which management must be taken seriously, because only good management can ensure the quality and effectiveness of television programs.

The topic is a research project, applying theories of journalism and television to solve a specific problem in practice, which is directing the production of short reports on local television stations today. Therefore, the research results will more or less have certain contributions and additions to the theory of television journalism on the use of reports in current local television news programs.

This thesis includes the research, investigation, classification, valuation and assessment of the programs which have been socializing in television and broadcast stations in Bac Giang, Quang Ngai and some others near Bac Giang province from June 2017 to December 2018. The role of the press, especially the role of short reportage in the news of local television.

From this thesis, the author came to the following conclusion: choosing, expressing, reading, MC, MC in site, using sound, as well as arranged methods in overall programs to achieve the highest efficiency, attracting the audiences to watch the news in local television. The topic plays important role for leaders, editors, reporters knowing how to use short reportage in the news programs. This is the theoretical basis for further research in the new method.
