The thesis has supplemented the theory of monthly social assistance policy for the elderly in Vietnam, in which it introduces the concept of comprehensive social assistance including the roles of the state and society; assesses the current impact of social assistance policy on the elderly in Vietnam; builds a social assistance standard suitable for the minimum living standard in each locality and provides some orientations and proposes solutions to improve the monthly social assistance policy for the elderly in Vietnam today.

The research results of the thesis can be used as reference materials and theoretical basis for future studies. The contributions of the thesis contribute to perfecting the policy basis and overcoming limitations in the concept of social security, serving as a basis for analyzing and evaluating the current social security policy system in Vietnam.

This thesis supplemented policy monthly social assistance for the elderly in Vietnam reasoning which introduces the concept of comprehensive social assistance, including the role of the state and society; assess the status of the policy impact of social support for elderly people in Vietnam; building social support benchmark suite minimum living standards in each area and give some direction, proposed policy solutions to complete the monthly social assistance for the elderly in Vietnam at present time.
