Summary of the results of the thesis: The thesis has achieved the following main results: - Clarifying the theoretical basis of the scientific research project management process; the main issues of the 6 Sigma management model and the ability to apply it to perfect the scientific research project management process. - Assessing the current status of scientific research project management at the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City according to the current process. The current status of scientific research project management over the past years shows that the current process still has limitations that need to be overcome. The most obvious limitations are the rigid administrative nature and the unreasonable participation and commitment level of related components. - Clearly explaining the solution to apply the Six Sigma model to perfect the scientific research project management process in Ho Chi Minh City. Six Sigma is inherently an advanced management solution, which has been widely applied in the field of economic management. The current process of managing scientific research topics applies the quality management model according to ISO standards, but it has also revealed certain limitations. We can effectively combine Six Sigma and ISO. The review of the application of Six Sigma shows the suitability and effectiveness of applying the DMAIC process to detect the root causes of fluctuations, correct errors and improve and enhance the management efficiency of scientific research topics in the current situation. - The thesis also points out the necessary factors to ensure the success of applying the Six Sigma model such as the operating mechanism and support policies (input - output management, coordination, supervision, sanctions, responsibilities, etc.). Support mechanisms and policies are necessary and are conditions for the process to operate smoothly and achieve quality, achieving the set goals. 11. Practical applicability: Application at the Department of Science and Technology 12.
