This thesis analyzes and clarifies the basic doctrines and ethical categories of Theravada Buddhism in Can Tho. It examines the introduction of Theravada Buddhism into Vietnam and Can Tho city, and the current state of the ethical life of Theravada monks in Can Tho city. From this, it analyzes and clarifies the influence of Theravada Buddhism on the ethical life of the people of Can Tho city. Through aspects of thought, concepts, lifestyle, customs, traditions, culture, festivals, etc., the study reflects the overall picture of the ethical life of the local people under the influence of Theravada Buddhism. Theravada Buddhism in Can Tho guides Buddhists in studying Abhidharma, an important part of Buddhist doctrine, helping them understand the Buddha's teachings accurately. It also guides lay Buddhists in practicing Vipassana meditation, enhancing mindfulness and benefiting the spiritual well-being of believers. The thesis also raises several issues and makes recommendations for state management, for the Church, for monks and Buddhists. According to current trends, Theravada Buddhism in Vietnam needs training schools to keep pace with the development of the Church in particular and society in general. Specifically, it recommends that the leadership of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha allow the Khmer Theravada Buddhist Academy to collaborate in opening additional Bachelor of Buddhist Studies programs for Theravada Buddhism in general, and in Can Tho city in particular, to contribute to the common development within the Church and promote positive values ​​in the cultural and moral life of the people of Can Tho city.
