10. Summary of thesis results:
Land played an important role in the implementation of two out of three disaster recovery strategies of the Red Dao households affected by the 2008 flash flood, namely “agricultural and forestry development” and “relocation of residence”, and played a complementary role to the strategy of “finding additional non-agricultural income sources”. At the same time, land resources acted as a link between the three disaster recovery strategies of the studied population. This relationship exists because the lives of the Red Dao people have always revolved around agriculture and forestry, and land is the most important resource for agricultural and forestry development.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
Land plays an important role in the implementation of two out of three post-disaster recovery strategies of the group of Red Dao households affected by the 2008 flash flood: "agriculture and forestry development" and “change residence location" and plays a complementary role in the strategy of "finding additional sources of non-agricultural income". At the same time, land resources demonstrate the role of a connection between the three post-disaster recovery strategies of the studied population group. This relationship exists because the lives of the Red Dao people have always revolved around agriculture and forestry, and land is the most important resource for agriculture and forestry development.
