11. Summary of the thesis results:
The main findings of the thesis include:
  1. Practical research shows that the awareness of domestic violence and its manifestations among individuals in the 138 committee addressing social work issues in the study is quite good; however, awareness of violence via text messages is still not very high. Awareness of domestic violence among village-level members is significantly lower than that of local officials and leaders at the commune level participating in the domestic violence victim support program. Furthermore, there are no statistically significant differences in awareness of domestic violence among subjects based on age, gender, education level, etc. Self-assessment of psychological support capacity is higher among female subjects than male subjects; significantly higher among local officials and leaders at the commune level compared to village-level members; and higher self-assessment among the group trained in TIC compared to the group not trained.

  1. Awareness of psychological support based on understanding trauma according to the 4R framework is at an average level, with awareness of re-trauma prevention being the lowest. Awareness of the six principles of support is also at an average level. Awareness of cultural, gender, and legal sensitivity is the highest, while awareness of trust and transparency, and equal cooperation are the lowest and below average.

  1. The results showed no significant differences between the groups of subjects regarding their perceptions of the effects of trauma and the methods of supporting those who have experienced trauma. However, regarding the perception of signs of trauma, there were statistically significant differences between the groups of subjects categorized by gender, interview group, and educational level. Similarly, perceptions of re-traumatization also differed between interview groups and educational levels. Furthermore, when comparing perceptions of psychological support principles based on understanding of trauma, several significant differences were also found.
12. Practical applications: This provides Hagar Vietnam with a foundation for developing capacity-building programs for local officials on trauma-based support, enabling more relevant and effective support activities for victims of domestic violence at the commune and village levels;
13. Future research directions:
- Support theoretical research, focusing on reviewing existing and currently used materials to enhance the capacity of local officials on gender, gender-based violence, domestic violence, and child protection. This will help identify areas for further development to improve their ability to support victims of violence at the local level, based on trauma-aware support methods, avoiding duplication and wasted resources and time.
- Further studies are needed on the effectiveness of applying TIC assessment to clients who have experienced trauma and have received psychosocial support based on trauma understanding;
