- The Khmer people in Kien Giang province number over 250,000, accounting for 12.49% of all ethnic groups in the province. Each ethnic group has its own festivals, and the Khmer people have many important ceremonies, both religious and secular, especially the Chol Chnam Thmay festival, their traditional New Year and the largest festival of the year. To date, research on the Chol Chnam Thmay festival in Kien Giang has only been mentioned in a few short papers or reports, and has not delved deeply into specific and detailed areas. Therefore, exploring the spiritual life of the Khmer people in Kien Giang, the topic "The Chol Chnam Thmay Festival in the Spiritual Life of the Khmer People in Kien Giang Today" has significant scientific and practical value.
- The thesis has provided an overview of concepts and ideas regarding spiritual life, cultural and spiritual life, religious beliefs; festivals, and traditional festivals.
