This thesis studies "Urban Traffic Issues in Vietnamese Online Newspapers Today". The thesis presents the theoretical basis for the research topic, clarifying the basic theoretical framework such as: the concept of urban traffic and the concept of online newspapers. In addition, the author highlights the role of urban traffic and the role of online newspapers in the development of urban traffic, along with the Party and State's policies and guidelines on urban traffic development. Furthermore, the author identifies the content and forms of addressing urban traffic issues in online newspapers; and criteria for evaluating the quality of urban traffic issues in online newspapers.
In Chapter 2, the author surveyed the current state of e-government issues on online newspapers such as Giao Thong, Dan Tri, Tien Phong, and VNExpress regarding frequency, content, and information format. The survey revealed successes in e-government reporting: the content on e-government in the surveyed newspapers selected engaging topics with widespread influence on social life and garnered significant public attention; most e-government information articles in the surveyed newspapers utilize multimedia. However, there are also limitations: the content of e-government articles is not comprehensive; the information on e-government in Vietnamese online newspapers currently does not focus on reporting on the Party and State's policies on e-government issues, nor on analyzing these policies to highlight their rationale and irrationality in e-government development. The current methods of presenting content have not fully utilized and exploited the advantages of online journalism. This situation stems from various causes, including both subjective and objective factors.
This thesis identifies the problems and proposes six solutions to improve the effectiveness of information on digital transformation in online newspapers. In addition, the author also makes recommendations to relevant authorities and media organizations.
