This study examines coherence in Pham Tien Duat's poetry through two manifestations: coherence in temporal relationships and coherence in spatial relationships. From this, the thesis concludes that:

1. Regarding coherence theory:

- Each type of text exhibits different levels of coherence. Coherence in poetry has its own unique characteristics and is more difficult to grasp than coherence in prose. Coherence in terms of time and space in poetry also manifests differently compared to coherence in terms of time and space in other genres.

- Coherence in artistic texts is closely related to and influenced by the style of the text creator.

2. Regarding the poetry of Pham Tien Duat:

- The chronological coherence in Pham Tien Duat's poetry accounts for a relatively high percentage of the total number of poems surveyed. This indicates that Pham Tien Duat's poetry primarily focuses on narrating events. This is also a characteristic associated with his poetic style.

- Spatial coherence in Pham Tien Duat's poetry is negligible. This indicates that Pham Tien Duat's poetry does not focus on description.

Through his realistic recounting of numerous battlefield events, Pham Tien Duat vividly recreated the heroic resistance of the nation. This once again affirms his status as a representative poet of the resistance against the US, a poet closely associated with the legendary Truong Son Road.
