Summary of Thesis Results: In life, the Vietnamese tradition often says, "Children rely on their fathers, the elderly rely on their children." This has become a life philosophy for many generations of Vietnamese people. However, in modern life, many family values and relationships have changed significantly compared to the past, leading to increasing generational conflicts. Generational conflict arises naturally. It reflects the conflict between experience and creativity in family and social activities. In the past, Vietnamese people highly valued preserving family traditions. This was because any coexistence required specific ways of interacting and rules of conduct. Today, with the task of building a new generation, we must not only promote the good traditions of the family but also its positive aspects. Family life, first and foremost, teaches children to be polite, always respectful to elders, and modest in their attire. Family education also emphasizes love for humanity, righteousness, harmony, solidarity, and mutual respect. We must learn to "love others as we love ourselves" and "help those in need." Under the impact of current globalization, Vietnamese families are facing many difficulties and challenges in preserving traditional family values. Intergenerational conflicts within families are increasingly common and occur at varying levels. Research shows that two-generation families, with husband and wife and unmarried children, experience the least conflict. Conflicts are more common in three-generation families, primarily between two generations: the elderly and their adult children, and parents and their minor children. The most frequent conflicts between the elderly and their adult children concern economics, lifestyles, and behavioral patterns. Conflicts between parents and their minor children mainly focus on education, recreation, and lifestyle choices. The main conflicts between parents and their adult children in the family revolve around the division of property, the concept of the role and value of men in the family, and the concept of having sons and daughters. Conflicts between the older generation, parents and children mainly focus on lifestyles, habits, and ways of behaving within the family. Alcohol consumption, one of the lifestyle manifestations of the second and third generations in the family, is also a cause of family conflict. 11. Practical application: None 12.
