The topic was implemented on 496 students at some universities using research methods such as: Questionnaire survey, in-depth interviews, mathematical statistics, etc. The topic has shown that the current need for psychological counseling of students is very large. The need for psychological counseling of students is diverse but focuses on the need for counseling on issues related to studying, social relationships, personal capacity development and career orientation, employment. At the same time, the topic also points out the factors affecting the satisfaction of students' need for psychological counseling. In which, factors such as limitations in media promotion, low professionalism in consulting activities, the influence of East Asian culture, etc. have hindered the satisfaction of psychological counseling needs of many university students in Hanoi. On that basis, the topic proposes a number of recommendations such as strengthening professional counseling activities through promoting specialized training in counseling, strengthening communication about professional counseling to meet the psychological counseling needs of students today. 11.
