Summary of the results of the thesis: Magical realism and Latin American literature are quite new literary fields for Vietnamese literary research. When it comes to magical realism, we cannot fail to mention the name of the greatest storyteller in Latin America - Gabriel García Márquez with the novel One Hundred Years of Solitude, which won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982. In practice, there are still many difficulties in materials and research methods for Latin American literature. Through the research on the topic "Time and mythical space in One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez", we have achieved the following outstanding results: First of all, the thesis has provided a general and quite complete view of the characteristics of Latin American literature and magical realism. From there, we have proposed promising research directions when approaching the works of this literary field. Second, the thesis studies in detail the mythical time and space in the novel One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez. Time is illusory, does not follow a straight line model, and is reproduced through temporal levels: order, time flow, frequency; along with the phenomenon of foreboding. The space is filled with magical colors. With the strange changes of nature, the author takes readers to magical lands. The legendary space-time place plays an important role in conveying the message of peace and human solidarity - the negative side of loneliness. Finally, based on the application of the method of mythological criticism and poetics to study this work, we propose a research direction for the group of works belonging to the literary trend of magical realism and the possibility of application and expansion of the topic. 11. Possibility of application in practice: In the field of research: Overcoming difficulties in approaching a field that is quite new to Vietnam: Latin American literature and magical realism. At the same time, opening up new research areas on myths. In teaching: applying to teaching the subject of Western and Latin American Literature at the university level. 12. Further research directions: - Legendary characters in Márquez's works. - The prototype in Márquez's One Hundred Years of Solitude. - Legends in Latin American literature. 13. Published works related to the thesis: The original model in Xuan Quynh's Waves, Teaching and Learning Journal, No. 3/2010, Hanoi Pedagogical University.
