Summary of the thesis results: In Vietnam, traditional occupations with a history of thousands of years of development are facing many difficulties and challenges of the new era. In addition, in the trend of industrialization and modernization, traditional occupations are at risk of being lost in some localities, especially some suburban villages of Hanoi due to the high speed of urbanization, national highways, and tourist and entertainment centers gradually replacing fields, gardens, and land for cultivation and production. People want to change their occupations to suit the new life. The vermicelli craft village of Phu Do - Me Tri - Tu Liem - Hanoi is a typical example of such craft villages. The thesis has contributed to clarifying the consistency between the awareness, internal desires and external behavior of the people in preserving the traditional vermicelli craft in Phu Do - Me Tri - Tu Liem - Hanoi. The thesis assesses the current status of behavior in preserving, building and developing traditional occupations in the locality. The thesis contributes to clarifying the dialectical relationship between the behavior of preserving traditional occupations and the industrialization and urbanization of the locality; clarifying the theoretical and practical basis for preserving and promoting local traditional occupations. 11. Practical applicability: Providing the Party Committee and the government of Phu Do Village, Me Tri Commune, Tu Liem District, Hanoi City in particular; the Party, the State and functional agencies in general with the basis and arguments to direct the preservation and protection of local traditional occupations in a positive and highly effective manner during the period of industrialization and modernization of the country. The thesis can be used as a reference, study and teaching document. 12.
