Summary of the results of the thesis: On world television programs, graphics are a popular form of information transmission, exploited and used by many television stations. But in our country, this is an area that has not been fully exploited. Therefore, the purpose of the thesis is to provide journalists and television workers with a theoretical system on television programs and graphic information (TTDH). Chapter 1 has explained in depth the concepts of television programs, graphic information and terms related to design. Also in this chapter, the thesis provides the history of the formation and development of graphic information in general and graphic information for the television sector in particular in the world as well as in Vietnam. The characteristics, roles and meanings of graphic information are also presented in chapter 1. Technically, in chapter 1, the thesis also presents methods of presenting graphic information such as: Information data boxes, tables, graphs, charts (column graphs, lines, pie charts, etc.), maps, etc. For each different information content, graphic reporters will screen and select a suitable method of presentation. In chapter 2, the thesis mainly studies the current status of graphic information use in domestic television programs including the 7 p.m. news bulletin, TCKD broadcast on VTV1 and a group of foreign programs including the Newsline news bulletin of NHK, Arirang News channel and Asia Today news bulletin of Channel NewsAsia. Through the survey of the above news, the author of the thesis compared the use of TDH between domestic and foreign channels and realized that TDH is used a lot in domestic programs mainly in the form of data information boxes, only a few TDH are tables and diagrams. In the group of foreign programs, TDH is used more abundantly and diversely. In chapter 3, the thesis presents some subjective opinions of the author to contribute to increasing the effectiveness of using TDH in television programs. The suggestions with personal opinions focus on the method of selecting content to present graphically and how to choose the appropriate types of graphics for each information. In addition, we also emphasize the issue of training human resources in the press design team in general and TDH in particular. 11. Practical applicability: Valuable for graphic reporters, designers, and newspaper mock-ups to refer to and apply to their specific work. 12. Characteristics, role and significance of graphical information are presented in Chapter 1 as well. Technically, the first chapter of the thesis presents the methods of expressing information graphics as: box information data, tables, graphs, charts (column, line, pie charts, wheels, etc.), map, etc. For each different information content, graphic reporter will screen, select a suitable method. In Chapter 2, the thesis mainly studies the status of using information graphics of television programs in the country including news bulletins 19h, financial and business news broadcast on VTV1 and groups of foreign programs including news reports News line of NHK, Arirang News and Asia Today News of Channel NewsAsia. In chapter three, the thesis offers some subjective opinions of writer for the contribution to the increase of efficiency of the use of information graphics in Television programs. These proposed personal opinions focus on the methods of content selection for graphical presentation and how to select appropriate graphics for each information. In addition, the thesis also highlights the training of human resources issues in press design team and information graphics in particular. 11.
