In E.Hermingway's novels, the "lost generation" characters clearly demonstrate the process of human personality formation and development under the impact of war. E.Hermingway's artistic solution to the problem of "lost generation" characters is the formula "man can be destroyed but cannot be defeated." Due to direct experience with war, the war prose of E. Hermingway, as well as that of other writers of the "lost generation," is deeply lyrical, with a prominent anti-war tone. 11. Practical applications: Contributes to guiding the reading style of E. Hermingway's works, suggesting research directions on Hermingway's character types or genres and their relationship and influence on war prose in the world in general, and in Vietnam in particular. 12.
