Through the research topic: A comparative study of the motif of humans in animal guise in some Vietnamese and Japanese folk tales, the thesis has achieved the following results:
- This study delves into the motif of the disguised person in the folk tales of Vietnam and Japan. From this perspective, it explores and compares the cultural characteristics of the two nations.
- This thesis aims to explore and analyze fairy tales, especially those featuring the motif of a person disguised as an animal, in the folklore of both countries, pointing out the similarities and differences regarding this motif in both collections of stories.
- In addition, the thesis also points out the contributions of fairy tales in general and fairy tales about people disguised as animals in particular in reflecting real society as well as expressing the dreams and aspirations of the people for a prosperous and happy life.
- Expressing love for one's passion, which is the study of folklore in general.
