10. Summary of thesis results:
This study focuses on understanding the conflicts between four stakeholders involved in tourism development activities within the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex (QTDTTA) using qualitative research methods. Data was collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews with stakeholders, including local communities, tourism businesses, local authorities, and tourists. The research results indicate that these conflicts occur both within groups and across groups in all three aspects: economic, socio-cultural, and resource-environment. The main cause of these conflicts stems from differences in motivations, purposes, and benefits among the stakeholders participating in tourism activities.
11. Practical applicability
The research findings provide reliable input data for tourism development strategies and plans within the Tam Duong Tan Quan Tan Phu complex, helping the Management Board better understand the conflicts among stakeholders. This allows for the development of rational tourism development solutions and plans, ensuring a balance of interests among all stakeholders, and ultimately aiming for sustainable tourism development.
12. Further research directions:
The proposed directions for further research on this topic are as follows: Firstly, research sites could be other heritage areas or destinations with more diverse contexts to compare and contrast the results. Secondly, other research methods, such as quantitative methods, could be used to expand the sample size and investigate any differences in perceptions based on the demographic characteristics of the parties involved, especially local residents and tourists.
