10. Summary of thesis results:
Along with the strong development of the economy, the explosion of information technology, the trend of consumers using linking tools to search and trace the origin of products is also increasing. Therefore, the application of scientific and technological information technology by producers, management units, and businesses to manage and develop safe food supply chains is becoming more and more popular. The application of scientific and technological information technology has contributed to creating a strong change in the awareness and actions of society in improving management efficiency in order to produce and supply the market with agricultural products that ensure food safety and hygiene standards according to the value chain. Agricultural products are the main products of many localities. Due to their special quality and product characteristics with regional cultural and historical characteristics, agricultural products bearing geographical names are often protected by intellectual property rights in the forms of: Geographical indications, certification marks, and collective marks. In order for products to become a product brand after being protected by intellectual property rights and accepted by consumers, one of the issues that needs attention is to apply scientific and technological information to enhance the commercial value of intellectual property rights of the product, or in other words, to enhance reputation, ensure quality with clear and transparent origin, thereby enhancing the value and competitiveness of the product, contributing to improving production and business efficiency for enterprises and increasing income for people when participating in the production, supply and consumption chain of products through product brand management and development activities.
The research has clarified the theoretical basis and assessed the current status of applying scientific and technological information to the management of products with geographical indications "Son La Coffee", thereby pointing out some limitations that need to be improved such as: The construction and maintenance of the website of products with geographical indications "Son La Coffee" to provide information to all subjects inside and outside the province has not received due attention; The quality of scientific and technological information work in the management of the Brand Identity of products with geographical indications "Son La Coffee" is not high; The use of scientific and technological information to manage the quality of products with geographical indications "Son La Coffee" still has many shortcomings due to lack of equipment and human resources for implementation; The application of scientific and technological information in promoting the commercialization of products with geographical indications "Son La Coffee" has not met the requirements; The provision of scientific and technological information to serve the management of geographical indications of “Son La Coffee” by the Provincial Center for Information and Application of Science and Technology is still limited; Training and coaching on scientific and technological information has not received due attention.
Based on the analysis of the current situation, the project has developed groups of solutions to increase the effectiveness of applying scientific and technological information to the management of products with the geographical indication "Son La Coffee", including: Building and maintaining a website to provide information on products with the geographical indication "Son La Coffee"; Improving the quality of scientific and technological information in the management of the Brand Identity System with the geographical indication "Son La Coffee"; Increasing the use of information technology in monitoring the quality of products with the geographical indication "Son La Coffee"; Promoting the application of scientific and technological information in activities to promote the brand with the geographical indication "Son La Coffee"; Solutions to increase investment in facilities and equipment for the Center for Scientific and Technological Information of Son La province; Solutions to promote training and coaching on scientific and technological information.
These are feasible groups of solutions to contribute to promoting the application of scientific and technological information in the management of products bearing the geographical indication "Son La Coffee" in the coming period.
11. Practical application:
Through theoretical research, survey and assessment of the current status of applying scientific and technological information in managing products with geographical indications "Son La Coffee", the topic recommends relevant sectors, organizations and individuals to refer to and apply in practice in perfecting the state management of key product brands bearing the geographical names of Son La province in general and products with geographical indications "Son La Coffee" in particular; contributing to the sustainable and effective socio-economic development of the province in the following stages.
