The thesis "Mahathir Mohamad's Cultural Personality" has contributed to clarifying some basic theoretical issues regarding personality, cultural personality, and the context in which Mahathir Mohamad's cultural personality was formed. Based on scientific research and document analysis, it clarifies the cultural personality of an outstanding Malaysian leader – Mahathir Mohamad – as a Muslim and as a national leader: moderate yet courageous and decisive; possessing nationalistic ideals and striving to build a harmonious and unified Malaysia.

The thesis “The Cultural Personality of Mathir Mohamad” makes a contribution to elucidate some issues of the basic theories about personality, cultural personality and the context which forms the cultural personality of Mahathir Mohamad. Based on the scientific research base, the researcher analyzed the materials and elucidated the cultural personality portrait of the outstanding leader in Malaysia- Mahathir Mohamad- as a mussulman and as a national leader who is mild but brave and decisive and brings the national ideology along to strive to build a harmony and united Malaysia.
