Summary of the thesis results: This thesis studies the autobiographical element in the structure of the novel *Restless* by the Russian writer Aleksandr Kron. Considering autobiography as a key category for exploring the artistic world of the work, through survey and analysis, the thesis explains the characteristics and role of the autobiographical element in *Restless*. From there, the thesis also points out the characteristics of A. Kron's artistic thinking in relation to the philosophical stylistic trends in Russian prose from the 1960s to the 1980s. The basis for the existence of the autobiographical element in *Restless* lies in the socio-historical conditions of the Soviet Union in the second half of the 20th century and the tradition of upholding morality in the spirit of Christianity in Russian literature. Applying the narrative research method, the thesis analyzes the forms of expression of the autobiographical element at various levels: narrator, narrative point of view, space-time, and tone. The ideological content that the author wishes to express through these narrative levels consists of messages about love, friendship, the writer's philosophies on life and happiness, and especially the writer's views on the moral qualities of scientists and the position of intellectuals in the new era. The inclusion of the autobiographical element also contributes to drawing readers into the anxieties and reflections on the core spiritual values of life in this novel. "Restlessness" is a novel that holds a prominent position in the philosophical prose genre about everyday life in Russian literature of the 1960s-1980s. 11. Summary of the findings of the thesis: The composition is a project focusing on the confessional in Aleksandr Kron' “Insomnia” The project is aimed to explain the application of confessional in novels in general and analyze its features in Aleksandr Kron' “Insomnia” in particular. Thereby, the composition also indicates the development trend for monologue as a writing style in Russian prose in the period from the 60s to the 80s of the 20th century. By analyzing historical and social conditions and previous premises in Russian literature, the researcher is grounded to confirm the existence of monologue in the novel. Thanks to the method of narratology, the presence of the confessional is expressed through different faces such as the story-teller, time and space, narrative point of view and tone. In addition, the composition also dissects various messages which the author wants to convey through his writing.
