Summary of the thesis results: - The thesis has surveyed the character types of the "war widow" and the "court lady" in the flow of medieval Vietnamese literature, thereby affirming the appearance of these two character types in "Chinh Phu Ngam" and "Cung Oan Ngam Khuc," which are both inherited and groundbreaking. The "war widow" and the "court lady" became the main characters in large-scale poetic works, and simultaneously the central characters of a literary period. - The characters of the "war widow" and the "court lady" initiated the literary movement of Confucian scholars writing about women with humanistic inspiration. The two Confucian scholars Dang Tran Con and Nguyen Gia Thieu – men – did not stand on the patriarchal viewpoint of Confucianism to judge and discriminate against women. Instead, they cared about the right to life and the innermost feelings of women, boldly exploring the emotional lives of unfortunate women, their very instinctive desires for love and physical life. For the first time, female characters appear in gender-focused literature, viewed with respect and empathy by the author. This reveals the divergence in Confucian scholars' views on women's rights. - Identify some formulas for describing femininity and the psychology of characters in the two works. 11. Summary of the findings of the thesis: - The thesis has investigated characters soldier's wife and imperial concubine which are two of character kinds in the middle of Vietnam literature currency and we have affirmed that their appearance in Chinh phu nam and Cung oan nam khuc are both inherited and modern changed. Soldier's wife and imperial concubine became the main characters in great poems as well as in the literature period. - Character soldier's wife and imperial concubine took the initiative the literature trend in which women were described with humanitarianism inspiration. Two Confician authors, Dang Tran Con and Nguyen Gia Thieu, two men did not have a imagined idea about women on the point of man's power in Confuciannism, but cared about their right of survival, their deep feeling inside, especially unhappy women's feeling and sexual instinct desire. That was the first time when women were appeared in literature with full sexual element through the sympathy of the authors' point of view. That institute on women distributes confician authors into several classes. - We also showed some formulas which had been used to describe sexual element and their mental process in the above poems. 12.
