10. Summary of thesis results:
“The concept of the author is an important moment in the process of individualization in the history of thought, knowledge, literature, as well as in the history of philosophy and science.” The birth of the author theory affirmed the central creative role of the director. Through the film, the director expressed his views, perspectives, and feelings about the problems of multifaceted life.
Examining Chinese cinema from the perspective of the author's style, specifically a director with personality like Lou Ye, we can partly see the general elements of the inevitable shift in the history of cinema and discover the unique features and beauty of an indigenous culture.
Studying the works of this filmmaker from the perspective of author theory to find similarities in style is a necessary and timely research direction to identify and affirm the creative efforts of the artist in creating innovations, exploring both content and technique to shape a unique style that is not confused with other filmmakers. Lou Ye, as a director of the sixth generation of China, has enriched the country's cinema with a new and impressive color such as the presence of a micro-history - a small individual along with the cinema of big stories, of "grand narratives". The "minor cinema" that Lou Ye chose is a dialogue with the mainstream cinema trend, which is a film genre that lies outside the categories and conventional systems of genres and styles available. It is in opposition to the majority, to orthodoxy and to the tradition full of majestic but fixed, rigid and very heavy canons. “nothing essential or revolutionary except the minor/secondary”; “hating all the languages of the masters”, “being a foreigner in one's own language”
11. Practical application:

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
“Nevertheless, as a privileged moment of individualization in the history of ideas, knowledge, and literature, or in the history of philosophy and science, the question of the author demands a more direct response.” The birth of the auteur theory has maintained the major creative force of the director. The director has expressed his point-of-views, his feeling about the multi-faceted life through his films.
Considering Chinese cinema from auteur theory perspective, Lou Ye – a personal filmmaker in particular, we can see partly the overview, the indispensible switch in history of cinema, to discover the specialty, the beauty of a local culture.
This auteur study of Lou's style in which find similarities in style, is a necessary and timely research direction to identify and maintain creative efforts of the artist in innovation, exploring both the content and the technology shaping a style separates from other filmmakers. Lou as a director of China's Sixth Generation filmmakers has enriched his own country's cinema with a new color, impressive as the existence of a micro-history - tiny individual with the cinema of the big stories, the “great narrative”. The minor cinema that Lou has chosen is the dialogue with the mainstream cinema, which is the line that falls outside the categories and systems of classic genre and style. It is in opposition to the majority, with various magnificent patterns but stable, rigid and severe traditions. “There is nothing that is major or revolutionary except the minor. To hate all languages of masters [...] To be sort of foreigners within his own language.”
