This thesis analyzes the influencing factors and foreign policy of the Communist Party of Vietnam in its relations with the Republic of France during the period 1996-2015. Based on this analysis, the thesis focuses on clarifying the process of building and developing relations between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of France in key areas: politics, diplomacy, security, and defense; economics, trade, and investment; and culture, education, and science and technology. From this, the author offers some observations and lessons learned in leading the implementation of relations with the Republic of France in the current period.
