The thesis researched and clarified three main points: the factors influencing China-Cambodia relations; the current state of China-Cambodia relations in the early 21st century; and the impact of China-Cambodia relations on each country and on Vietnam.
Stemming from the international and regional situation, China and Cambodia are increasingly interested in and promoting cooperative relations to develop the economy and society in each country, strengthen their political positions, and ensure national defense and security.
China-Cambodia relations in the early 21st century have strengthened quite rapidly in key areas such as politics, economics, defense and security, and culture and society. Both sides have focused on promoting cooperation in a coordinated manner, creating a strong foundation for the comprehensive development of bilateral cooperation in the future.
China-Cambodia relations in the early 21st century have shown tremendous successes, promoting the economic, defense and security, and socio-cultural interests of each country. However, certain limitations and difficulties exist, especially in the context of Sino-American competition, multilateralism in international relations, and global economic integration. These factors will inevitably impact the prospects for cooperation between the two countries, political interests in Cambodia, and the sustainable development of various sectors in each country.
11. Practical applications:
All the research findings in this thesis are immediately applicable in practice.
China and Cambodia are both neighboring countries with traditional and comprehensive friendly cooperative relations with Vietnam. Therefore, the impacts from China, Cambodia, and the Cambodia-China relationship have a two-sided influence on all areas, especially politics and national defense and security in Vietnam. Assessing the current situation and the impacts of the Cambodia-China relationship on Vietnam will serve as a basis for Vietnam to promote synchronized solutions in politics, economics, national defense and security, and socio-cultural aspects to maintain stability and ensure interests in bilateral and multilateral cooperation, in line with the global trend of peace, cooperation, and development.
12. Future research directions:
First, continue to study and assess the current state of China-Cambodia relations, drawing conclusions and forecasting the situation and development trends of bilateral relations in the future.
Secondly, assess the impact of the China-Cambodia relationship on each country, and draw conclusions about the foreign policy directions of both countries in the coming period, especially their foreign policy towards Vietnam, as a basis for Vietnam to formulate its future foreign policy.
