10. Summary of the thesis results:

The topic "Television and the Issue of Propaganda Regarding the Sea and Islands" highlights the significance of the Sea and Islands and the issue of propaganda concerning them for our country, while affirming the role of television in this area. The thesis demonstrates the superior advantages of television compared to other forms of media. Television, as a popular media in Vietnam, is specifically studied to further improve the quality of propaganda regarding the Party and State's policies on the Sea and Islands. This contributes to fulfilling the tasks assigned by the Party and Government to the national press.

This thesis examines two television programs specializing in issues related to mountains, rivers, seas, and islands: the "Border and Sea Magazine" broadcast on VTC1 and the "Mountains, Rivers, and Coasts" segment broadcast on VTV4. Based on statistical analysis and research of the content and presentation style of news articles on maritime and island issues in the two programs surveyed, the study aims to assess their effectiveness and frankly acknowledge some of their limitations.

Based on a proper assessment of the importance of the Sea and Islands, and the strategic tasks of Sea and Island propaganda, this thesis accurately evaluates the current state of the quality of Sea and Island propaganda on television in Vietnam. The aim of this program is to propose solutions to improve the quality of Sea and Island propaganda in the "Mountains, Rivers, and Borders" program on VTV4 and the "Border and Sea Magazine" broadcast on VTC1, as well as on the television system in general, through surveying and analyzing the characteristics of the current situation.

11. Practical applications:

The results of this study will contribute to supplementing the theoretical framework of Journalism on the issue of propaganda activities regarding the sea and islands for the people. This can be considered a reference document for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. In completing this thesis, the author also hopes that officials, reporters, editors, and those working in propaganda on the "Border and Sea Magazine" program broadcast on VTC1 and the "Mountains and Rivers" segment broadcast on VTV4, as well as television professionals, will gain an additional theoretical perspective and be able to apply it to their programs.

The research findings summarized in this thesis suggest the following directions for further research:

- Print media coverage of issues related to the sea and islands.

- The issue of maritime territories and islands in online newspapers.

- The role of the press in raising community awareness about the islands and seas.

- Enhance the effectiveness of disseminating information about the sea and islands through mass media.

10. Summary of thesis results

The thesis “Communication roles of Television about Seas and Islands” expresses the meaning of seas and islands, the communication issues about seas and islands as well as confirms the communication roles of television about seas and islands. The thesis has demonstrated the superior advantage of television in comparison to other media types. Television as a popular meaning of communication in Vietnam is studied in detail, in order to improve the quality of communication policy of the Party and State about seas and islands. It also contributes to the successful performance of the tasks entrusted to the Press by the Party and State.

The thesis investigates two television programs specializing in the issues of mountains, rivers, seas and islands, namely “Magazine of Borders, Seas and Islands” broadcasted in VTC1 and “Forum of Mountain, River, Coast” broadcasted in VTV4. Based on statistics, the thesis studies and analyzes the content and expression of news about seas and islands in two survey programs to recognize the effect as well as point out some limitations of them.

By appreciating the importance of Seas and Islands, the strategic mission of communication about Seas and Islands, the thesis has estimated the actual quality of communication about Seas and Islands on television in our country today. By researching and analyzing the characteristics, the purpose of the program is to propose plans to improve the quality of communication of Seas and Islands in “Forum of Mountain, River, and Coast” broadcasted in VTV4 and “Magazine of Borders, Seas and Islands” broadcasted in VTC1 in particular as well as on television system in general.

11. Ability of application in the reality:

The results of the thesis will contribute to complement the theoretical issues “Journalism with communication activities about Seas and Islands to the people”. The thesis can be considered as a source of reference materials for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. Writing the thesis, the author hopes that officials, reporters, editors and people who are in charge of “Magazine of Borders, Seas and Islands” broadcasted in VTC1 and “Forum of Mountain, River, Coast” broadcasted in VTV4 as well as television staff to have one more theoretical perspective to apply to their programs.
