11. Summary of the thesis results:
This thesis systematically examines articles and research related to cultural heritage, the heritage of Vietnamese scientists, cultural heritage management, and museum management to clarify concepts and create a theoretical basis for addressing the issues raised in the thesis. It analyzes the factors influencing the emergence of non-governmental organizations (MEDDOMs) involved in the conservation and promotion of heritage values in Vietnam. It identifies the characteristics of non-governmental organizations that directly affect the formation and development of MEDDOMs. The thesis analyzes the current state of professional and managerial activities at MEDDOMs, initially assessing the strengths and weaknesses in their management practices. Based on this, it proposes two sets of directions to overcome limitations and improve management activities: enhancing professional activities and improving management activities. With the directions outlined in this thesis, not only MEDDOM but also other non-governmental organizations operating in the cultural sector can refer to and apply them to their own units in the future.
