Chapter II: Examines the semantic expression and grammatical function of six modal particles such as 的, 了, 吧, 吗, 呢, 啊 in Chinese with their corresponding modal particles in Vietnamese such as zhǔ/zhǔ/zhǎ, rèi dǎi, yè, ě, ǎ/ǎ, zhǎn, hǎ/hǎ, zhǐ/ǎ. Chapter III: Compares and contrasts the most common modal particles in Chinese and Vietnamese. It highlights similarities and differences. The most significant difference is that in Vietnamese, some modal particles such as ě, ě, yè, ǎi, etc., can be used as indicators of politeness. When using these words in communication, great importance is placed on hierarchy and order, making it easy to discern the relationship between the speaker and the listener.
