Specifically, our research and survey focused on the source material of the Anthology of Prose Poetry - Vietnam and Foreign: with a total of 160 modern Vietnamese prose poems, including 23 poems from before the August 1945 Revolution and 137 poems from after the August 1945 Revolution to the present. The thesis is divided into three chapters presenting the research results as follows: - Chapter 1: Systematizing the theory of prose poetry: the concept of prose poetry, distinguishing prose poetry from some related genres, the formation and development of prose poetry in Vietnam and in the world. - Chapter 2: Clearly outlining the basic characteristics of modern Vietnamese prose poetry in terms of content and form: free verse structure, innovative poetic forms; impressive and novel poetic imagery and language; abundant poetic emotions, profound philosophical qualities. - Chapter 3: Survey of the characteristics of language use in modern Vietnamese prose poetry: rhythmic characteristics, syntactic characteristics. From there, provide the most comprehensive overview of Vietnamese prose poetry in particular and world prose poetry in general, as well as the attractive features that create the unique beauty of this prose-based poetic form. 12.
