10. Summary of thesis results:
The study described the current status of vocational training policy implementation for workers in Hung Yen province in the following aspects:
About vocational training support policies: The locality has implemented a variety of vocational training support policies for workers. However, the number of workers who benefit from these support policies is too low compared to the number of people who do not benefit from the policies.
About vocational training subjects:The respondents to the questionnaire were diverse in terms of occupation, but the vocational students were mainly farmers and workers.
Trained occupations:The main trained occupation in the research area is industrial sewing.
About vocational training types:The most widely applied type of vocational training in the study area is short-term vocational training (less than 1 month). However, the number of participants in this type of training is too low compared to the number of untrained workers.
Place of training: Vocational training in different communes/wards causes many difficulties and costs for workers when participating in vocational training courses.
Vocational training costs:The high cost of vocational training discourages workers from participating in vocational training courses even though tuition and food and accommodation are free.
The effectiveness of vocational training: Workers do not highly appreciate the effectiveness of vocational support policies for vocational training but highly appreciate the effectiveness of vocational training for their current jobs. This reflects the practical effectiveness of vocational training for workers' employment.
The role of local social organizations:Local social organizations are considered to be active and play an important role in the lives of workers. At the same time, these organizations are also reliable addresses for people to turn to when they encounter difficulties. However, the support for people to participate in vocational training by social organizations is still lacking and weak.
Employee's plans for the future:Very few people plan to go to vocational training in the next year. The structure of occupations that workers plan to study has also changed.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
The research describes the current situation of implementing policies on vocational training for rural workers in Hung Yen on the following aspects:
Vocational training policies: the province implemented various policies to support job training for the work force. However, the number of employees entitled from the policy is too low compared to the number of people who receive no benefit from the policy.
Apprentices: Participants who answered questionnaires were in diversified industries, but the majority of them were farmers and workers.
Trained jobs: the main job trained in the study area is industrial sewing
Job training type: The most common type of vocational training in the local is short-term training (less than 1 month). However, the number of people participating in this type is also too low compared to the number of workers who are not trained.
Location of apprenticeship: Apprenticing in a different commune or ward causes many difficulties and is costly for workers to participate in training courses.
Training costs: High training costs discourage employees to take part in training courses despite of free tuition, food and rest support.
Training effectiveness:Employees do not appreciate the effectiveness of policies to support vocational training but highly appreciate the effectiveness of the apprenticeship for the work they are doing. This reflects the practical effect of training on employment of workers.
Role of civil society organizations in the local:Social organizations in the area are assessed to play an active and important role in the lives of workers. Simultaneously, these organizations are reliable address for people to get advice when in troubles. However, activities to support people to participate in vocational training of social institutions are still weak and inadequate.
Worker intents in the future:Just a few people intend to enroll in professional training within the next 1 year. Career structures which workers plan to study have also changed.
