10. Summary of the thesis results:
This thesis focuses on studying the characteristics of the Vietnamese closed syllable subtype. The main objective is to identify the distinguishing features of the closed syllable subtype in comparison with other syllable types through an experimental approach. Experimental results show that: the duration of closed syllables with the ending /p, t, k/ is shorter than other syllable types; the two tones [rising, falling] in closed syllables are also different from the two tones [rising, falling] in other syllable types. From this, we can apply this to teaching Vietnamese to foreigners: helping both teachers and learners identify the distinctive features of the closed syllable subtype, while also warning learners of errors.
11. Practical applications: Contributing to the field of teaching Vietnamese to foreigners, helping both teachers and learners identify the characteristics of duration as well as the distribution of [rising tone] and [falling tone] in various types of Vietnamese syllables.
12. Future research directions:
We aim to broaden the scope of the topic to fully identify the characteristics of Vietnamese rhymes, thereby improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning Vietnamese as a foreign language.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:

The thesis focuses on studying the characteristics of the closed rhymes subcategory in Vietnamese. The main objective is to identify the distinguishing features of closed rhymes in comparison with other rhymes types through an experimental approach. Experimental results show that the length of closed rhymes (syllables) ending with /p, t, k/ is shorter than that of other rhymes (syllables) types. Additionally, the two tones [sharp, heavy] in closed rhymes (syllables) are different from the two tones [sharp, heavy] in other rhymes (syllables) types. This can be applied to teaching Vietnamese to foreigners: it helps both teachers and learners recognize the distinctive features of closed syllables and warns learners about potential errors.
11. Practical applicability: Contributing to the field of teaching Vietnamese to foreigners, helping both teachers and learners recognize the characteristics of length as well as the distribution of the [sharp tone] and [heavy tone] in different types of Vietnamese syllables.
12. Further research directions: We aim to expand the scope of the subject to be able to identify all the characteristics of Vietnamese rhymes, helping the teaching and learning of Vietnamese as a foreign language achieve high efficiency.
