The thesis has studied the practical basis of the topic such as: characteristics of organizational structure, staff, facilities, technological infrastructure, information resources, characteristics of information users and information needs of the Hanoi University of Pharmacy Library. The thesis has reflected the current situation of organization and library information activities such as: Current situation of information source development, document processing, document digitization, document organization and preservation, creation of information - library products and services, foreign cooperation activities. The thesis has proposed solutions and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of library information activities of Hanoi University of Pharmacy.

It also highlights the actual status of the organization and operation of the library such as the development of information rescourses, document processing, document organizing and storing, creating information products and services and external cooperation activities. At the end of the thesis, some solutions and recommendations have been proposed to raise the effectiveness of activities at the Library of Hanoi Universty of Pharmacy.

-This thesis contributes to enriching theories on the organization and operation of information - library activity in universities, confirming the importance of the information organization and operation in the university library in general and in the Library of the Hanoi University of Pharmacy in particular.
