Literature is the repository of Hanoi's memories of its culinary traditions, its attitudes and feelings towards the culinary beauty of the capital city. Through traditional folk songs and proverbs, the essence of Hanoi's culture, rich in meaning, is deeply reflected in its customs and philosophy of life. This is supported by the urban cultural space along a historical timeline and the people of Hanoi along a cultural spatial axis. Hanoi's products, as depicted in folk songs and proverbs, are not only delicious dishes but also cultural symbols, showcasing the sophistication, elegance, and rich identity of this thousand-year-old land. The beauty of its culinary culture contributes to shaping the people of Thang Long - Hanoi. This beauty is fully expressed in the selection of ingredients, the preparation of dishes, as well as in their lifestyle, behavior, and the building of spiritual values. All of these aspects have been recorded in folk songs and proverbs as a historical record.
11. Practical applications:
Studies on Hanoi's culinary culture in traditional folk songs and proverbs – a new perspective from cultural anthropology – have demonstrated the influence and impact of cuisine on the people of Hanoi. Hanoi's culinary culture is not only expressed through dishes but also preserved in folk memory, especially through folk songs, proverbs, lifestyles, and customs. In the context of urbanization and globalization, preserving and promoting traditional culinary culture requires clear directions to maintain identity while remaining relevant to modern life. Preserving and promoting Hanoi's culinary culture is not just about preserving the flavors of dishes, but also about protecting an important part of national identity. Coordination between the state, businesses, and the community is needed to both preserve the essence of folk cuisine and develop it in a modern, integrated direction without assimilating it.
