Firstly, this paper outlines some theoretical and practical issues regarding the role of farmers in the process of building new rural areas in Vietnam, while also identifying the basic factors influencing the promotion of farmers' role in rural development today.

Secondly, this study analyzes the current role of farmers in building new rural areas in Chuong My district, clarifying the reasons for the limitations of this situation.

Thirdly, we propose some basic solutions to further enhance the role of farmers in building new rural areas in Chuong My district today.

Additionally, it can be utilized in the study and teaching of issues related to farmers and their roles in rural development.

 The study investigates the impact of crop and livestock restructuring on household income during the implementation of the New Rural Development Program. It provides practical evidence to encourage the replication of effective models that enhance labor productivity and increase farmers' incomes.
