The thesis has presented the Temple of Literature, the system of documents, documents, education and examinations in Nam Dinh province from 1802 to 1919, with comparisons with the previous period. We have conducted in-depth research on the history of formation, ritual activities at the Temple of Literature, the system of documents, documents of Nam Dinh province; educational achievements, examinations of the province during the feudal period. From there, we have made comments on the role of Temple of Literature, documents, documents in the village life of the province, contributing usefully to the system of documents to restore Temple of Literature, documents, documents in the future.

We found out about history, sacrifices in Confucian temple, system of Confucian cult and achievementeducation and system of former competition-examinations in Nam Dinh province during feudalism. From these results, we have comments about the role of Confucian temple, system of Confucian cult in village life, help system materials for reconstruction of them in the future.
