The congress was attended by delegates: Comrade Nguyen Van Kim - Secretary of the School Party Committee; Comrade Dang Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Head of the School Propaganda Department; Comrade Nguyen Quang Lieu - Party Committee member in charge of monitoring the Faculty Party Cell.
On behalf of the Congress Presidium, comrade Dao Duc Thuan presented the Political Report of the Faculty Party Cell: Summarizing the work of the 2018-2020 term and setting out directions and tasks for the 2020-2022 term; presenting the draft Political Report of the 28th Congress of the School Party Committee and draft documents to be submitted to the 13th Congress of the Party.
The Congress also listened to the review report of the Party Cell and discussed, gave opinions and contributed to the draft Political report at all levels.
It can be seen that, in the last term, the Party Cell of the Faculty of Archival Science and Office Management has always done a good job in political and ideological work for all party members and the masses in the Faculty. The Party Cell has always paid attention to and directed the expansion of education levels and training forms to affirm the position of the Faculty in the field of training cadres to do clerical, archival and office work.
In addition, to expand international cooperation in training in the field of archival studies, the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Administration has collaborated with Aix-Marseille University (France) to develop a Master's program in Archival Studies and Digitization.
The Party Cell has directed the Faculty to organize many cooperation and scientific research activities with many individuals and organizations at home and abroad such as: coordinating with Gakushuin University (Japan) to organize seminars for graduate students; meeting lecturers and students of Texas Tech University; inviting Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Phuong Ngoc (Aix-Marseille University) to discuss public and private archives in France; Postgraduate student. Jade Thau to discuss archival documents at the French School of the Far East... In particular, in 2019, the Faculty successfully organized an international conference with the theme "Memoirs, memories, archives about Vietnam - Human values from many perspectives" with the participation of many researchers from France, the United States, Germany, Switzerland...
Speaking and directing the Congress, comrade Nguyen Van Kim praised the efforts of the Party Cell of the Faculty of Archival Science and Office Management in the past term with good results, contributing to the overall success of the School; at the same time, emphasized that the Faculty needs to continue to strive to build aThe Party cell is clean, strong and excellent in the next term.
The Congress elected the Party Cell for the 2020-2022 term with the result that 03 comrades were elected, of which comrade Dao Duc Thuan was re-elected as Party Cell Secretary. The Congress elected a delegation of 07 comrades to attend the 28th Party Congress of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU.
100% of party members attending the Congress unanimously approved the Draft Resolution of the Congress for the 2020-2022 term.
In his closing speech at the Congress, comrade Dao Duc Thuan, on behalf of the Party members of the Department of Archival Science and Office Administration, received the opinions and contributions of the delegates attending the Congress. The new Party Committee affirmed that it will be determined to promote the spirit of solidarity, creativity and successfully complete the Resolution set forth by the Party Congress for the 2020-2022 term.
