The congress was attended by the following delegates: Comrade Nguyen Van Kim - Secretary of the School's Party Committee; Comrade Dang Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Head of the School's Propaganda Department; and Comrade Nguyen Quang Lieu - Party Committee member in charge of monitoring the Faculty's Party Branch.
On behalf of the Presidium of the Congress, Comrade Dao Duc Thuan presented the Political Report of the Faculty Party Branch: summarizing the work of the 2018-2020 term and outlining the direction and tasks for the 2020-2022 term; presented the draft Political Report of the 28th Congress of the University Party Committee and the draft documents to be submitted to the 13th National Congress of the Party.

The congress also listened to the review report of the Party Committee and held discussions, offering opinions and contributions to the draft political reports at all levels.
It can be seen that, during the past term, the Party Branch of the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management has always done a good job in political and ideological work for all Party members and the general public within the Department. The Party Branch has always paid attention to and directed the expansion of educational levels and training methods to affirm the Department's position in the field of training personnel for document management, archiving, and office administration.

In addition, to expand international cooperation in training in the field of archival studies, the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management has partnered with Aix-Marseille University (Republic of France) to develop a Master's program in Archival Studies and Digitization.
The Party Committee directed the Faculty to organize many collaborative activities and scientific research with numerous individuals and organizations both domestically and internationally, such as: coordinating with Gakushuin University (Japan) to organize seminars for graduate students; meeting with lecturers and students of Texas Tech University; inviting Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phuong Ngoc (Aix-Marseille University) to discuss public and private archives in France; and PhD candidate Jade Thau to discuss archival materials at the French School of Far Eastern Studies... Notably, in 2019, the Faculty successfully organized an international conference on the theme "Memories, recollections, and archival documents about Vietnam - Humanistic values viewed from multiple perspectives."with the participation of many researchers from France, the United States, Germany, Switzerland, etc."

In his speech and guidance at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Van Kim commended the efforts of the Party Branch of the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management during the past term, noting the positive results and contributions to the overall success of the University; at the same time, he emphasized that the Department needs to continue striving to build a strong foundation.The Party branch will be outstanding, clean, and strong in the next term.

The Congress proceeded to elect the Party Committee for the 2020-2022 term, resulting in 3 elected members, including Comrade Dao Duc Thuan, who was re-elected as Secretary of the Party Branch. The Congress also elected a delegation of 7 members to attend the 28th Congress of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi.

100% of party members attending the Congress unanimously approved the Draft Resolution of the Congress for the 2020-2022 term.

In his closing remarks at the Congress, Comrade Dao Duc Thuan, on behalf of the Party members of the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management, acknowledged the contributions and suggestions from the delegates. The new Party Committee affirmed its determination to promote unity and creativity and successfully fulfill the Resolution set forth by the Party Congress for the 2020-2022 term.
