A big step forward on the journey of integration
Currently, the Party Cell of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Language has 15 party members. Under the leadership of the Party Cell, the Faculty Board of Directors (BCN) and the Union always focus on improving the quality of the Faculty's staff, the quality of scientific research and especially the task of international cooperation. Carrying out the mission of "training high-quality human resources, promoting the passion for research on Vietnamese language and Vietnamese studies, contributing to promoting exchanges and relations between Vietnam and countries around the world", in 2018, the Faculty was awarded the "Second-class Labor Medal" by the State for its outstanding achievements in research and training activities on Vietnamese language and Vietnamese studies over the past half century.

One of the most important factors contributing to the Faculty's achievements in the integration process is improving the quality of its staff. In 2019, the Faculty had 04 lecturers successfully defending their doctoral theses. Currently, the total number of lecturers and staff of the Faculty is 30, including 22 lecturers (5 Associate Professors, 14 PhDs, 3 PhDs).
Continuing to strive according to the orientation of the School Party Committee, the Faculty Party Cell always builds an action strategy in the direction of a research university. Every year, lecturers exceed the scientific research hour quota, have articles published in specialized scientific journals, and international publications. Many party members have been and are leading topics at the grassroots, National University and Ministry levels. To promote and improve the research capacity of staff and lecturers, the Faculty Party Cell and Executive Committee always expand cooperation with domestic and foreign training and research units to organize national and international conferences as well as link with prestigious journals in the field of Vietnamese studies to exchange expertise and academics. In 2018, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its establishment, the Faculty successfully organized an international conference“Research and teaching Vietnamese language and Vietnamese studies in universities”attracted hundreds of domestic and international scholars to participate.
With a team of enthusiastic and experienced lecturers, the Faculty Party Cell has constantly innovated the organization, training and enrollment of all systems. Each achievement of the Party Cell and the Faculty Executive Committee has clearly demonstrated the process of innovation and integration. Since 2010, the Faculty has been assigned the task of training bachelors in Vietnamese Studies for Vietnamese and foreign students. Up to now, the Faculty has trained 06 batches of graduates. During the 2018-2020 term, the Party Cell has had a strategy to improve the quality and quantity of enrollment. In the past three years, the Faculty has exceeded the enrollment target by about 120%, bringing the total number of undergraduate students studying at the Faculty to nearly 300 students (including 47 international students). Although the Faculty has a new major, the entrance score of students is always in the top 2 of the school. To achieve that result, the Party Cell and the Faculty's Executive Committee always focus on innovating the admission method as well as the training method to attract undergraduate students to register for the Faculty. In 2019, the Faculty has developed a training program for undergraduate Vietnamese Studies (taught in English); revised the standard training program for undergraduate Vietnamese Studies to suit the output standards and practical needs of society. Up to now, the Faculty has trained 05 Master's degree courses in Vietnamese Studies and in the near future, the Faculty plans to ask the University for permission to develop a project for a PhD training program in Vietnamese Studies.
In addition, the young staff and students of the Faculty are always proactive and creative in all activities to enhance learning exchanges between Vietnamese and international students. The CMC Club is a cultural bridge for international students to have the opportunity to exchange and learn about Vietnam through the activities of the Club. Every year, the "International Cultural Festival" is also an activity that the Party Cell always pays attention to and focuses on to promote and introduce the image of the country and people of Vietnam to international friends.

In the 2018-2020 term, the Faculty Party Cell has effectively implemented international cooperation orientations and goals. Five international cooperation programs have been implemented. Annually, about 60-70 students are trained under government agreements and exchanges, and many international student delegations from prestigious universities in the region are taught.
With a long tradition and outstanding achievements in teaching Vietnamese, in 2019-2020, the Faculty completed the "Project on Organizing Training, Assessing Competency and Granting Vietnamese Certificates according to the Vietnamese Competency Framework for Foreigners".
A new journey with the motto of operation "Solidarity - Creativity - Science - Development"
During the process of construction and development, the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the Faculty and the entire staff have understood that the core value to create collective strength is the spirit of solidarity. The Party Committee of the Faculty has placed the spirit of solidarity as the top priority in the motto of the Faculty. In addition, in the new term, the Party Committee of the Faculty also promotes its core role in creating a creative, responsive academic environment that responds well to the rapid changes of the 4.0 technology era. The university lecture hall is the place to access and promote the achievements of the 4.0 industrial revolution most quickly and effectively. Therefore, the Party Committee of the Faculty continues to promote the spirit of creativity to have timely and appropriate decisions so that the staff and students of the Faculty can adapt. The Party Committee will continue to direct party members and young staff to participate in training to improve their level of information technology application and innovation in teaching methods. The Party Cell also pays more attention to scientific research and improving professional qualifications for staff and lecturers, promptly implementing support policies for lecturers with publications and scientific reports published internationally.
With the right direction of action, along with the strength of "Unity - Creativity - Science", the Party Cell of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language believes that the Faculty will have a new step of development in all fields: training, scientific research, international cooperation..., contributing to the overall development of the Party Committee and the School in the coming term.
