On the morning of December 6, 2012, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Vice Rector of the University, had a meeting and worked with Professor Dr. Lori A. Forman from the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (Honolulu, Hawaii, USA). At the meeting, Professor Lori A. Forman expressed her desire to cooperate with agencies in Vietnam, including the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, to organize an international conference on security in the Central region.

On December 7, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized an international scientific seminar "Religion in Vietnamese society today".

On December 6, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities solemnly held a ceremony to honor outstanding young faces in 2012. Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Principal of the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Principal of the University, MSc. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh - Deputy Head of the Department of Student Affairs and Policy - VNU, and leaders of the units.

On December 5, 2012, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh and representatives of the Faculty of Oriental Studies received Mr. Shoji Sato, representative of the Association for Bookkeeping Promotion in Viet Nam (ABPV).

During her trip to Hanoi to attend the 4th International Conference on Vietnamese Studies, Professor Quyen Di Chuc Bui (University of California Los Angeles and California State University, Long Beach) accepted an invitation to give a presentation at the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language on the morning of November 29, 2012. The topic of the presentation was “Orientation for training in Vietnamese Studies in the United States”.

On November 15, 2012, the Director of Hanoi National University signed Decision No. 3871/QD-DT promulgating the Master's training program in Anthropology under the Anthropology major with code: 60310302.

On November 28, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the 2012 financial conference. Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa - Vice Principal of the University chaired the conference.

From November 26 to December 5, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU in collaboration with Brigham Young University (USA), the Institute for Global Engagement (USA) organized a training course on religion and the rule of law.

On November 26, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Korean Cultural Heritage University signed a cooperation agreement, marking an important milestone in the cooperative relationship between the two schools.
